Our Australian in-house expertise spans Complex Structures, Ports and Maritime Works, Geotechnical and Underground Engineering, and Temporary Works. As part of the wider Rendel Group and Ingerop Group, we bring a proven track record of success in global construction markets, delivering technical solutions for complex infrastructure projects. These include bridges, tunnels (notably immersed tube tunnels), highways, rail systems, ports and marine facilities.

Antonio Perez

Managing Director

Managing Director Antonio Perez, a Chartered Civil Engineer, returned to his home country of Australia in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in the underground structures sector. His project portfolio includes the UK’s High Speed 2 (HS2) Wendover Green Tunnel, Chiltern tunnel shafts and portal, and London’s Crossrail shafts, as well as major Australian mining projects such as BHP South Flank and Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert expansion. He has also gained international experience in mainland Europe, contributing to the CERN Future Circular Collider project. Antonio’s strategic relocation strengthens our in-house capabilities and will play a key role in driving our expansion across Australia through new office openings.

Matt Lyons

Matt Lyons

Director

Director Matthew Lyons, a Chartered Civil Engineer, serves as Rendel's Director of Maritime, Industry & Energy. Matt has developed particular expertise in major maritime infrastructure projects, notably; Hay Point Berth 2 Independent Review; New Container Port Project in Abidjan; Petrochemical Refinery Integration Al Zour (PRIZe); Al Zour Refinery; MAB Sea Island Life Assessment, Kuwait and Aktau Sea Port Extension, Kazakhstan. His experience has involved projects worldwide and he has worked in Australia, Kuwait and South Korea. In 2024 Matthew relocated to Australia to strengthen relationships and collaboration with Aspec Engineering, our trusted local partner on projects.

Nathan Goodreid

Bridges and Structures Team Leader

Nathan Goodreid is a Civil and Structural Engineer with 14 years’ experience across the UK and Australian engineering and construction industries. He serves as Rendel Ingerop’s Team Leader for Structures and brings a diverse range of experience across bridges, highways, buildings, and civil infrastructure. Nathan’s recent experience has focussed on detailed design and proof engineering of complex bridge structures and underground station box structures. More recently, Nathan has been working on the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2, Lumsden Point Detailed Design, M7M12, and the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Detailed Design.

Andrew Scoberg

Principal Structural Engineer

Andrew Scoberg is a Chartered Principal Structural Design Engineer with over eight years of engineering experience. He has worked on Victorian and NSW roads / rail projects as well as maritime projects, involving detailed designs, tender designs, and proof engineering for simple and complex bridges, barriers, retaining walls, wharf structures, temporary works, culverts, signs, and gantries. Andrew played a significant role in the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 project, leading the proof engineering works of a 343m-long segmental concrete box girder bridge structure spanning the Parramatta River. Other notable projects include the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Renewal, Lumsden Point General Cargo Facility (LGCF), Warringah Freeway Upgrade, M7M12 Integration, Sydney Gateway and Western Harbour Tunnel.
